Advance and retract ports for double-acting hydraulic systems. Lever to advance, oil flows through the advance port. Lever to retract, the flow reverses. Lever to centre, the system depressurises.

The PHD range is designed to pump hydraulic oil under pressure into 700 bar (10,000 psi) double-acting hydraulic systems. Each pump is fitted with an advance port and a retract port. Moving the lever to the advance position and cycling the pump pushes oil through the advance port under pressure with the retract line returning oil to reservoir.
Moving the control lever to the retract position reverses the flow, oil leaves the retract port under pressure and the advance line returns to reservoir. Setting the lever to the middle position vents both ports to reservoir, depressurising the system.
The range covers three reservoir sizes (PH300D, PH580D and PH1100D). All three are supplied complete with hydraulic pressure gauges, gauge block and screw couplers.
The PH pumps are equipped with a flexible oil reservoir that contracts when oil is pumped from the reservoir into the system. This removes the requirement for an air vent that you find on traditional solid reservoir pumps and eliminates the possibility of accidental oil spillage when the pump is not level.
The flexible reservoir also enables the pump to be used in any orientation without the risk of air entering the hydraulic system. It prevents contamination or debris from the surrounding atmosphere entering the hydraulic system, protecting both the pump and the system it is pressurising.
The PH range incorporates a two stage piston design. A larger volume of oil is pumped per handle stroke at lower pressure (below 200 psi) for fast system actuation. Above 200 psi a smaller volume is pumped per stroke to reach safe working pressure while keeping the required handle force low.
An internal relief valve is factory set to the maximum safe working pressure. When the system reaches that pressure the relief valve opens and further cycling delivers oil back to the reservoir rather than into the system, protecting the equipment from over pressurisation.
Pick the right reservoir size for your system. Our team can help match a PHT, PHD or PHS pump to the oil volume of the cylinder, tensioner or spreader you are driving.
